One could not recount this day without speaking of the style that defined it. The yellow pastel palette spoke volumes, echoing the golden hues of an Australian summer. Bridesmaids adorned in Shona Joy dresses, flowers by La Myrtle – Gemma artfully arranged, and reception details glistening in brass—all under the expansive sky of Eagle Bay.

Collaborating with Alex Cohen Photography, we were immersed in capturing the essence of Tayla and Jonny’s love story. Alex’s elegant and romantic style complemented the day’s magical moments, from the heartfelt vows to the sparkling smiles shared between the couple and their guests, many of whom had traveled from overseas to be part of this joyous occasion.

One of the day’s highlights was the enchanting moment Tayla and Jonny walked down the aisle beneath a shower of rose confetti — a scene of pure joy and beauty, and always a favourite of mine to capture on film. Despite the playful midsummer Aussie flies posing a unique challenge, the spirit of love remained undiminished.

The emotional depth of the day was palpable, especially as family members from across Australia and the world gathered in one room — a rare and treasured reunion. The couple’s alignment on their life goals, their strong family connections, and the inclusion of their furry family member, Chester, being walked down the aisle by Tayla’s dad, added layers of warmth and meaning to the celebration.
