When Jess and Steve chose Dalmore Farm to celebrate their love, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your average wedding—this was going to be a day filled with warmth, heartfelt moments, and touches of their unique personalities.
Nestled in the rolling hills of Bridgetown, Dalmore Farm offered the perfect canvas for their dream wedding. Jess, who grew up on a farm in the wheatbelt, felt an instant connection to the venue, describing it as something that felt like “home,” while also giving them the opportunity to create a weekend getaway for their closest family and friends. From the dreamy rural landscapes to the heartfelt connection Jess and Steve share, this wedding was as captivating as it was authentic.
On the morning of September 15, 2024—a date that marks their sixth anniversary—Jess and Steve prepared for the day ahead in Dalmore Farm’s charming cottages. The bridal party gathered at Hill House, where Jess slipped into a timeless Sofia dress by Jessica Coutures, paired with chic western booties from Torrid. Steve, alongside his groomsmen, suited up in a classic creation from Penguins Suit Hire at Workman’s Cottage.
The anticipation for the ceremony started with a memorable first look atop one of the Farm’s signature rolling hills. Complete with golden rays from the setting sun and their beloved border collie, Tux, in attendance, it was a scene that could rival any romance movie.
And if you’re wondering how their guests made it to the ceremony? They arrived by tractor. Yes, tractor—because what’s a celebration in the countryside without a little rustic charm?

Jess and Steve’s ceremony was nothing short of magical. Under a picturesque sky and surrounded by velvety hills, they exchanged vows that not only captured their love but also gave a nod to their down-to-earth personalities. Adding to the heartfelt moments? Tux—their energetic border collie and self-designated ring bearer. Guests couldn’t help but smile as he dutifully carried their rings down the aisle, embodying the playful and inclusive spirit of the day.
Sunset Portraits and Farmhouse CharmFor the bride and groom’s portraits, we stayed atop the hill as sunlight bathed the scene with a golden glow. It was one of those rare cinematic moments—the light, the scenery, the couple’s undeniable chemistry—it truly felt like everything aligned.
Mixing digital footage with vintage Super 8mm and 16mm film created the perfect balance of nostalgia and modernity. The drone aerial shots added drama, capturing Dalmore Farm’s vast beauty from above. The results were breathtaking, and watching Jess and Steve interact so naturally, surrounded by humbling countryside, made each frame unforgettable.

The celebration continued into the evening as Jess and Steve shared their first dance to “Bloom” by The Paper Kites. With friends and family joining at the second verse, the dance floor quickly became the heartbeat of the event, filled with laughter, twirling, and moments of pure joy.
They rounded out the evening with speeches that stirred both tears and laughter, bottles of local wine, and a delicious spread courtesy of Supper Road catering. The final note? A playlist of upbeat tracks to keep the party alive—with “Dancing in the Moonlight” kickstarting the dance-off, and “Closing Time” serenading guests as the night came to a close.
Dalmore Farm isn’t just a wedding venue—it’s a storytelling backdrop. From the heartfelt connection the owners share with their land to the customizable packages they offer, it’s easy to see why couples like Jess and Steve fall for this magical location.
