On a stunning autumn day, Rebecca and Benjamin tied the knot at the picturesque Tiller Farm in Yallingup Siding, Western Australia. Surrounded by rolling fields, native flora, and the warm glow of the sun, their wedding was a heartfelt celebration of love, nostalgia, and the beauty of nature.
Rebecca and Benjamin chose Tiller Farm for its off-grid charm and farm-to-table ethos, a perfect nod to their shared love for nature and Benjamin’s passion as a chef. The venue’s serene rural setting reminded the couple of their roots in the UK countryside, making it the ideal backdrop for their special day.
Rebecca and Benjamin’s love for all things vintage inspired their choice of a wedding photography and videography package that combined Super 8mm and 16mm film with modern digital techniques. The result? A timeless collection of memories that beautifully blended nostalgia with contemporary elegance. Alongside digital images, I used 35mm and 120mm medium format film to capture the day’s most precious moments, from Rebecca’s radiant arrival to the couple’s intimate post-ceremony portraits in the paddocks.
The couple’s journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic when they met on Tinder. Despite the challenges of the time, their connection flourished. Benjamin, a talented chef, and Rebecca, an environmental advisor, share a love for simple pleasures like walks, coffee dates, and relaxing together. Their proposal story is just as sweet—Benjamin surprised Rebecca with a heartfelt moment by a pond after a family dinner, catching her completely off guard.
Rebecca looked absolutely stunning in her Grace Loves Lace gown, which perfectly complemented the natural and romantic vibe of the day. Her veil, adorned with vivid floral embroidery, was a showstopper and a beautiful reflection of her colorful personality. Later in the evening, Rebecca changed into a short, playful party-style bridal dress for the reception, which added a fun and modern twist to her look—it was super cute and perfect for dancing the night away!
Benjamin and his groomsmen looked dashing in dark green suits paired with reddish-brown shoes, while the bridesmaids wore elegant terracotta dresses. The couple’s Kombi van added a retro vibe to the day, making for some unforgettable photos before it departed.
One of the most beautiful aspects of Rebecca and Benjamin’s wedding was how they didn’t fuss over the small details but focused on what truly mattered—their love, their relationships with family, and, of course, good food. As a chef, Benjamin’s passion for food shone through, with the couple choosing Tiller Farm’s farm-to-table catering to delight their guests. Benjamin even baked the wedding cakes himself, using Rebecca’s grandmother’s sponge recipe—a heartfelt nod to family tradition.
Adding a personal touch, the couple displayed family photos on a wooden shelf, a tribute to the people who shaped their lives and love story. It was a simple yet meaningful detail that made the day even more special.
The natural beauty of Tiller Farm was further enhanced by the presence of black cockatoos, whose distinctive calls and graceful presence added a magical, uniquely Australian touch to the day. Their sound echoed through the fields, creating a serene and unforgettable atmosphere.
The ceremony, officiated by Melissa Magawa, was held outdoors, with the golden autumn light casting a magical glow over the proceedings. Afterward, we ventured into the paddocks for portraits, where the couple’s wish to include the farm’s cows came true, adding a playful and unique touch to their photos.
The reception was a lively affair, with music by Envy Group DJ Kerryn setting the tone for a night of celebration. Guests enjoyed a fun, relaxed atmosphere filled with laughter, dancing, and delicious food.
Rebecca and Benjamin’s wedding was brought to life by an incredible team of vendors:
